The Cackle: Episode #38
Mobilizing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
SPECIAL GUEST: Amy Nelson, CEO, Venture for America
AIRED ON: Wednesday, November 18th on Facebook Live or Twitter at 10:30 am EST
Venture For America is creating economic opportunity in American cities by mobilizing the next generation of entrepreneurs and equipping them with the skills and resources they need to create jobs. Amy Nelson, CEO at Venture for America, joined us to discuss ways we can teach entrepreneurship which will inevitably stimulate job growth, create new opportunities in cities that need them, and make people better versions of themselves.
Amy grew up among the amber waves of Midwestern grain outside of St. Louis (a proud VFA city). She joined Venture for America in 2013 to lead fundraising and external relations, rose to Managing Director in 2016 and became CEO in 2017. As CEO, Amy is focused on making VFA the go-to path for aspiring young entrepreneurs and helping lower the barriers to entrepreneurship for all.
